FAQ – Chromebook Summer Lender Program


It is critical that each student begins the 2015-2016 school year with all of the tools needed to support his/her studies. In order to better serve our students and families, Greater Clark County Schools has decided to allow students who are registered for the 2015-2016 school year to take their Chromebook home with them over the summer.



When do I have to be registered to take advantage of the summer lender program? How do I register?

What if my student isn't registered at GCCS for 2015-2016?

Chromebook collection for students not registered for the 2015-2016 school year will begin June 1, 2015. Students with loaners will have those devices collected at this time.

What if my student’s Chromebook is in repair when school ends?

Students who have a device in repair at the end of the school year and have received a loaner device will have the loaner device issued to them as their permanent device. If no loaner device has been issued, then the student’s parent/guardian will be notified when the device has come back from repair.

What if my student’s Chromebook breaks over the summer?

If your student breaks his/her Chromebook over the summer, you can take the device to Clark County Middle/High School, 2710 E 10th Street, Jeffersonville, IN, 47130, between the hours of 7:30 am – 4:00 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and from 9:30 am – 6:00 pm on Tuesdays. Devices turned in over the summer will be returned to students as soon as possible. Devices received toward the end of the summer may not be available at the start of the school year.
